# Key Requirements

You can add key requirements to open a crate in addition to, or instead of [payment](/crates/open-cost/) and [permission](/crates/open-permission/) requirements.

You can setup key requirements using the [editor](/editor-gui/).

You can assign multiple keys to the same crate, but only of them is required to open it.

## Setup

1. Open the editor -> **Crates** -> Select a crate.
2. Find and click the **Cost Options** button.
3. Click the **Vacant Slot** button to create a new option.
4. When cost option is created, click the **Vacant Slot** inside it to add a new entry.
5. Select the **Key** type and select desired key.
